Katie Brosius brings work experience in business start-ups to her practice of law.

Background
Prior to attending law school, Katie worked in small businesses, including two start-ups, in customer service and purchasing and procurement. Her experience with Washington businesses inspired her to attend law school and has been invaluable in working with clients.

Education & Experience
Katie is a Washington native who graduated from Seattle University School of Law (2021) and the University of Washington (B.A. Global Studies 2015). Katie served as Research and Technical Editor for the Seattle University Law Review. She also participated in the Moderate Means Program and the Housing Justice Clinic. Through internships, including two nonprofits and a stint with JAG, Katie gained additional experience in consumer protection, real estate, and military justice. Katie spent 6 years living in Germany as a child and is conversationally fluent in German.

Areas of Practice
Katie’s practice focuses on general business advice, business and real estate transactions and litigation, and estate and trust administration and litigation.

Volunteer Activities
She has volunteered at youth rugby and a variety of equestrian events. In law school, Katie won the Pro Bono Outstanding Service Award for her work in a consumer protection non-profit. She serves as an at-large Board member for the Capitol Chapter of Washington Women Lawyers.

Fun Facts
Katie met her goal of visiting 25 countries by the age of 25. She played rugby in college and has been an equestrian since she was a small child. When not in the office, Katie can be found spending time outside with her two dogs or horse or in the kitchen baking. She enjoys reading, hiking, riding, running, playing rugby, and gardening. Katie lives in Yelm with her husband Matt.
